I've always believed the best moments in life happen in the rooms you're in. Not on a screen. Not in a highlight reel. In an actual room — with real people, real experiences, and conversations that stay with you for years.
I learned that earlier than most. I was only fifteen when my dad passed away. And in the years that followed, I made a decision that has shaped everything I've done since — I was not going to wait. Life had shown me exactly how short it was, and I wasn't going to spend mine watching it from the sidelines.
So I started showing up. After a decade as an award-winning marketer at TIFF and Indigo, I realized the work I loved most wasn't the campaigns — it was the rooms they created. The moments where people gathered in person, felt something, and didn't want to leave.
I decided to build those rooms myself. I started my first company, Embiria, in 2017, curating and hosting 400+ experiences that brought people together in beautiful places. I've traveled to 35+ countries, lived across four continents, and learned firsthand what makes a moment not just beautiful but truly unforgettable. I know what an extraordinary experience feels like from the inside — and I know exactly what to look for when I walk into a room.
That work led to my book Beautiful Everydays, a guide to building a life rich with pleasure and intention through simple at-home experiences that you can have today, not someday.
In the Room is the next chapter. It's where I take everything I've learned and go find the best experiences happening in the world right now. The supper clubs, the immersive hotels, the hidden gatherings, the visionaries designing moments that make people feel most alive. I discover them, and I bring you with me.
I created this because I know what it feels like to understand — really understand — that time is not guaranteed. The experiences that make you feel most alive are not rewards you earn when everything else is done. They're available to you right now.
